200 British pounds
Monthly Online Zoom Sessions with Online Tutor Support via Online Platform

Service Description

A1 Study Support comprises 17 live monthly sessions for 13 topics at A1 level of SpeakGaelic with a monthly work plan for each topic; dedicated additional resources and activities; as well as tutor contact and support in a private 'Padlet Teams' platform between live sessions. We’ll also work together to develop personalised content so that you can each speak and write with clarity about your unique interests as well as your Gaelic learning journey. Our first live session is on the Friday 27th February as per your booked times. You needn’t prepare anything - this is a ‘getting to know you’ zoom session with an introduction to the online platform which hosts my own courses; a look at the SpeakGaelic online course; an introduction to our extra interactive resources, live tutor-support and so on. We’ll also look at the month-ahead planners and how the monthly live group session on the last Friday of each month will be delivered. There are special sessions organised as well. The December session will focus on winter festivities to give you a change of pace and a chance to show off your new skills. The January session will focus on reviewing our learning and getting back up to speed for the final sessions through to June 2027 when we will finish the course with an online Cèilidh. The live groups will be on the last Friday of the month until June 2027. Availability is set at 10 am UK (ideal for those in Australia and New Zealand) and 8pm for UK, US & EU learners. Additional groups will be organised close to those times if there is demand. Your month-ahead planner will help us to maximise the benefit of the live sessions. I’ll be in and out of the group platform several times a week to answer questions, check your submitted exercises and to encourage and cheer-lead as needed. Bookings close on the 25th. I'll enrol you onto our support platform and send out the March work-plan and session link on Thursday 26th ahead of our 'getting to know you' session on the 27th of February. From there, we will meet on the last Friday of each month at the same link, and I'll be available on the platform for support and feedback in between. Please note: the email address that you use for booking will be the email address by which you are signed up to the platform, without exceptions. There will be no more than 16 learners per group to facilitate better personalised support. I look forward to meeting you all as you get started on your Gaelic learning journey!
